Dr. Merryl Brownlow is a distinguished educational leader and consultant with more than three decades of experience across classroom instruction, school leadership, and district-level administration. She most recently served as Superintendent of Palos Heights School District 128, where she led the development and implementation of a Portrait of a Learner strategic plan grounded in competency-based learning, aligning instructional practices and organizational systems to support student success.

professional learning, as well as her commitment to fostering collaborative cultures that promote continuous improvement and measurable gains in student outcomes. Dr. Brownlow extends her impact beyond the district through her work as a member of the NLU NCE Dean’s Brain Trust Advisory and as a member of the NLU Educational Leadership Studies Advisory Council.
