Overall Student Summative Determination

Each student receives an individual B4.03 Summative Competency Record documenting whether the Written Exam, OSCE/Skills assessment, and/or Professional Assessment components applicable to each competency (C1–C6) were met, resulting in a final determination of Meets or Does Not Yet Meet for each competency. A student must demonstrate achievement of all six Program Competencies and all applicable competency components before receiving a final successful summative determination. A student who does not meet a required competency is referred through the Program’s established academic progression and remediation process (see the Student Remediation Documentation, Tracking, and Annual Audit Form, referenced in the Forms section), which documents the deficiency, applicable competency, measurable remediation goal, remediation activity, timeline, reassessment method, responsible faculty member, passing standard, and final outcome.
