*Note:* This table is a proposed implementation blueprint. The Program’s Self-Study Report establishes the six Program Competencies and the existence of Summative Written Examination and Summative OSCE processes; the Program formally approves this blueprint and retains the approved instruments as evidence before relying on the table as implemented practice.
C1 — Medical Knowledge
Competency: Graduates will demonstrate the medical knowledge necessary for safe and effective entry- level PA practice, including foundational and clinical knowledge related to anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, clinical medicine, behavioral medicine, diagnostic principles, and patient care across the lifespan. Summative Assessment: A blueprinted, organ-system and NCCPA-topic-mapped written examination administered within the final four months of program completion, with item-level and total-score reporting.
C2 — Interpersonal Skills
Competency: Graduates will communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the interprofessional healthcare team. Summative Assessment: Summative OSCE stations built around a new-patient interview and a patient- education/shared-decision-making encounter, scored with standardized communication and professionalism rubrics.
C3 — Clinical Skills
Competency: Graduates will perform accurate history-taking, physical examination, and clinical assessment, and formulate an appropriate differential diagnosis and management plan. Summative Assessment: Summative OSCE stations built around a focused clinical assessment and an acute/complex patient encounter, scored with standardized rubrics/checklists.
C4 — Technical Skills
Competency: Graduates will safely and competently perform the technical and procedural skills required for entry-level PA practice.
