General Guidelines for the Didactic Year
The Learning Environment
The didactic year uses a variety of instructional formats — large-group lecture, small-group problem- based learning, laboratory and simulation sessions, and standardized patient encounters — delivered face-to-face, online synchronously, or in blended formats, as detailed in the curriculum table. Students are expected to arrive prepared, having completed assigned pre-work, and to participate actively.
