This policy establishes the NLU MSPAS Program's policies and procedures for dismissal of a student from the Program. It identifies: 1. The grounds on which a student may be dismissed from the Program; 2. The relationship between dismissal and the Program's Academic Progression and Remediation Policy; 3. The procedures by which a dismissal is referred, reviewed, decided, and communicated; 4. The timelines that govern each step of the dismissal process; 5. The student's rights to notice, to be heard, and to pursue applicable National Louis University appeal processes; 6. The academic, enrollment, and financial consequences of dismissal; and 7. II. POLICY STATEMENT Dismissal is the involuntary and permanent termination of a student's enrollment in the NLU MSPAS Program.
